“I’ve test-driven over a hundred CMS applications over the years and used a half dozen in production for clients at various times. Even the best of those pale in comparison to Dialogs.”

— Jeniffer J., developer partner

Dialogs means never having to ask, "How did we get here?"

Dialogs Capture™ – project management and documentation that stays with the site.

Capture is a forum that documents the information architecture of your website and discussions about implementation. Capture enables members of the development team – account managers, site owners, developers, designers, etc. – to communicate with each other. Posts to Capture may be directed to an individual’s attention or to customizable groups. Capture can also be used to document how the website has been customized, including specific instructions about how to make modifications.

Users can make two different types of entries - comments and ToDo items. Comments are used for ongoing discussions. Comments usually lead to a decision about how to proceed. ToDo items are specific tasks assigned to specific members of the team. The producer commonly assigns ToDo items based on information collected as comments.

The best part is: this documentation stays with the site permanently, providing helpful information now and in the future. This is an invaluable asset for future revisions and additions to the site. Dialogs developers don’t spend countless hours deconstructing code they haven’t looked at for a year - or perhaps code written by someone else. Site modifications are more efficient, saving time and money.

There are four parts to Capture:

Architecture: This is an outline of all content included in the site. Click on the name of a content item to access the comments forum.

All Tasks ToDo: This is a complete list of ToDo items. Before writing a comment about a revision, users can review this ToDo list to see if someone is already working on the issue.

Recent Posts: This lists all ToDo tasks and comments in chronological order. This is a convenient way to review activity during busy periods of development.

Dashboard: This shows all tasks and comments directed to your attention.

Capture is included with every installation of the current version of Dialogs.

Knowledge base and developer forum offer extensive solutions.

Dialogs partners also have access to a knowledge base on Dialogs.com. The knowledge base include how-to videos that give step-by-step instructions on topics like, “How do I build a nav system?” or “How do I build SEO landing pages?” or “How do I repurpose content on multiple pages?” The developer forum is open to all developer partners to post questions and solutions. This is a great resource to use to solve problems quickly and easily.

Additional documentation is also available.

Some site owners prefer to have site documentation in written form. Dialogs Professional Services can prepare comprehensive written documentation that fulfills this need. Written documentation of the Dialogs framework is also available.
