Somebody just landed a joke with a nine-figure setup cost, and got a board to sign it.
On September 3, NVIDIA announced it is acquiring Hugging Face for $12,930,300,000. Drop the commas:

That is the Unicode code point for ? — U+1F917, decimal 129303. The hugging face emoji. The one the company is named after.
So somewhere inside a transaction with investment bankers, securities lawyers, diligence teams, and a board vote, somebody worked out the decimal value of an emoji, argued it up to a purchase price, and then got every one of those people to put their name on it. Nobody arrives at that figure by accident, and nobody gets it through that many rooms without meaning it.
We are a shop full of people who notice things like this, so we will say the obvious: respect. The instinct to make a number mean something when it could have just been a number is the same instinct that names things carefully, leaves the comment that saves someone an afternoon, and gets the details right when nobody is checking.
It is a small thing. Small things done on purpose usually tell you who you are dealing with.
